Our lovely Hazel (of Saturday Story Time fame!) from Next Stage Coaching will once again be running her super popular drama-for-mindfulness classes, starting April 22nd.

The following sessions will be running in April-May for 4 weeks, please consider the dates and times carefully:

Mini-lights (4 sessions) – for children aged 6-8 years on 01/04/2023.
Saturday @ 09.00 – 10.00
Dates – 22nd & 29th April, 6th & 13th May.
Cost - €110

Spotlights (4 sessions) – for children aged 9-11 years on 01/04/2023.
(*Please note this group is for primary school children only)

All the happy FEELINGS this week @ The Little Bookshop!

Our favourite little Hawaiian has passed her B diploma - Hurrah Hurrah and thrice Hurrah - Stella’s Story Time was fabulous - the picture books are back in alphabetical order (thank you Stella!) - and we received flowers from a lovely friend 💜

Many cups of tea have been drunk, world problems have been put to rights, books have been discussed and at least one sheet of price stickers* has been chewed up!
( * not advisable, especially if you’re 98% fur as Humphrey is…we were peeling stickers off unmentionable places all day!).
🌈
In amongst all the fun and frivolity we have also managed to sell lots of books, recommended many more, briefly fretted about how big is ‘too big’ where a TBR pile is concerned. Then had another cup of tea, and realised that there is no such thing as a ‘too big’ to-be-read pile, and therefore felt much better about ordering a few more books to add to it.

Also spent a few happy hours listening to the inimitable @stephenfryactually discourse on the Victorians - I could literally listen to that gentleman read the phone book. How I would love to share a pot of tea with him - I’d even crack out the good biscuits.
🌈
And the shop day ended on a high when two little people came to tell me they were going on an adventure, but that they would miss me when they were gone!
( …they are away for 5 days, won’t give me so much as a passing thought while away, and probably won’t remember the conversation by bedtime - but, oh my, kids know how to pull at the heart strings!)
